Dr. Ngan Nguyen is a general surgeon specializing in minimally-invasive surgery. She grew up in southern Louisiana and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree at LSU in Baton Rouge, where she graduated with honors in Chemistry. She went on to complete her medical training at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.

It was during this time that she discovered her love for surgery. She remained at LSU in New Orleans to complete her general surgery residency. She received additional training in Advanced Gastrointestinal and Minimally-Invasive Surgery during her fellowship through the University of Texas Health System and HCA Houston Northwest Medical Center.

Dr. Nguyen offers care for a wide scope of general surgical conditions. Her interests include the treatment of abdominal wall hernias, gallbladder disease, and gastro-esophageal reflux disease using the robotic platform. When appropriate, she works hard to give her patients the many benefits of undergoing surgery using minimally-invasive techniques. She strongly believes in allowing technology to improve our everyday lives, including the practice of medicine and surgery. She is a native speaker of Vietnamese and English. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs.
